ASIRT concludes investigation into allegation of distributing intimate images

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has concluded its investigation into an allegation of intimate image distribution against an Alberta RCMP officer.

The executive director reviewed the evidence and issued a written report setting out the findings and conclusions.

ASIRT investigated an allegation that an RCMP officer had distributed non-consensual intimate images online. The investigation led to a further allegation related to unauthorized queries to a police database.

ASIRT is part of the Police Review Commission, an independent civilian-led agency. ASIRT investigates potential criminal offences involving police across Alberta, including cases where the actions of a police officer may have resulted in serious injury or death.
