ASIRT issues report on two completed investigations

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team has concluded two investigations into allegations involving police officers. In each case, ASIRT’s executive director reviewed the evidence and issued a written report outlining the findings and conclusions.

The full reports are now publicly available.
 

Edmonton Police Service – Nov. 5, 2020 | Report
ASIRT investigated allegations an officer sexually assaulted a woman while conducting a frisk search.

Tsuut'ina Nation Police Service – May 30-31, 2024 | Report
ASIRT investigated allegations of abuse of power and perjury arising from testimony during a criminal trial.

ASIRT is part of the Police Review Commission, an independent civilian-led agency. ASIRT investigates potential criminal offences involving police across Alberta, including cases where the actions of a police officer may have resulted in serious injury or death.
