ASIRT concludes investigation into the use of force by RCMP officers

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has concluded an investigation into the use of force during an arrest in Leduc. The arrest arose in the context of a call about an assault.

ASIRT is part of the Police Review Commission, an independent, civilian-led agency. ASIRT investigates potential criminal offences involving police across Alberta, including cases where the actions of a police officer may have resulted in serious injury or death.
